BURN WOUND HEALING ACTIVITY OF Euphorbia hirta
The Ethanolic extract of whole plant of Euphorbia hirta was screened for burn wound healing activity in rats as 2% W/W cream. The study was carried out based on the assessment of percentage reduction in original wound. It showed significant burn wound healing activity.
متن کاملHexarelin suppresses cardiac fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis in rat.
Abnormal growth of cardiac fibroblasts is critically involved in the pathophysiology of cardiac hypertrophy/remodeling. Hexarelin is a synthetic growth hormone secretagogue (GHS), which possesses a variety of cardiovascular protective activities mediated via the GHS receptor (GHSR), including improving cardiac dysfunction and remodeling. The cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the effe...
متن کاملOral fibroblast expression of wound-inducible transcript 3.0 (wit3.0) accelerates the collagen gel contraction in vitro.
Wounds of the oral mucosa show faster closure with less scar formation than skin wounds in other areas. A differentially expressed cDNA, wound-inducible transcript 3.0 (wit3.0), was isolated from oral mucosal wound in rats (Sukotjo, C., Abanmy, A. A., Ogawa, T., and Nishimura, I. (2002) J. Dent. Res. 81, 229-235). The purpose of this study was to characterize the wit3.0 gene structure and the f...
متن کاملTopical application of epidermal growth factor accelerates wound healing by myofibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis in rat
Recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF) stimulates the proliferation and migration of epithelial cells in human cell culture systems and animal models of partial-thickness skin wounds. This study investigated the effect of a topical rhEGF ointment on the rate of wound healing and skin re-epithelialization in a rat full thickness wound model, and verified whether or not the rhEGF treat...
